Does your creativity need tending? Claim creativity as your birthright using toning and painting as a body-centered spiritual practice. In Awaken and Tend Your Muse, you will ride the wave of your own vital connection to universal creativity. You will have support and encouragement to express your creativity through sound and color without any pressure to produce a finished product, with full permission to explore your unique process. We begin with speaking our names, which allows us to connect with the creative self. Our words become tones, and we discover that we can feel our sounds. When we are ready, we begin to paint. Painting becomes a simple act of trust; trusting the materials to attract you, and trusting your somatic responses to guide you.

Experienced facilitators help you recognize and honor your intuitive cues. All materials are provided. While experience is welcome, no experience is necessary. To encourage a safe space for self-expression, no critiques are permitted in the studio.

Nancy Kern is an exhibiting artist who leads toning groups and plays Tibetan bowls. A Rice graduate with an MFA in painting, Nancy has had a private practice devoted to Mind-Body integration since 1997. She mentors creativity and psycho-spiritual inquiry for individuals and groups.

Cherie Ray leads creativity workshops in Intuitive Painting, collage, mandalas and assemblage. Her focus is on the healing qualities of the creative process. She mentors her students to trust the benevolent teachings of creativity while creating a safe environment for the creative process to be explored and experienced.
