Women of Wisdom:
Grandmothers Write Letters to Their Younger Selves

Pastoral counselor Barbara Cowan invites participants to reflect on the lessons of their journeys in this afternoon workshop.

Saturday, August 15
1 - 4 pm
$55 ($50 Jung Center members)

Embrace the gifts of aging as we reflect on our passage from girlhood to the present self that we have created (or winnowed). We will re-member the turning points that engendered growth, change—even loss—for loss is what shapes us. Some things did not happen that should have; conversely others happened that were not anticipated. From these came our wisdom! Then, savoring the words of such women as Cokie Roberts, Olympia Dukakis and others from What I Know Now: Letters to My Younger Self, we will write our own letters reflecting on the wisdom we have to share with our children, grandchildren and peers. Afternoon tea and shared wisdom will complete our time together.
