What sense do we make of those confounding nightly visions we call dreams? What is the dream's purpose? What can we learn by working with them? Jung described dreams as having their roots in the "unfathomably dark recess" of the unconscious, and he believed that working with dreams allows us access to these depths. This class will cover the basics of Jung's theory of dreams, including his techniques for understanding and dialoguing with them. Class format will include lecture, discussion, and practice of dream interpretation. The dreams used for practice will be provided by the instructor.
Required reading: Dreams, C.G. Jung
